What's this?
Who built it?
When?
For 1 point..

Google Image Search continues to raise its ugly head on AutoPuzzles.
For the sake of our newer members who may not be aware of past discussions on it, Google Image Search as a means of solving puzzles is banned on this website.

AutoPuzzles is primarily a game of automotive knowledge, not of who can copy and paste the quickest.

We ask all members to remember and respect this, and retain the right to ask puzzle-solvers how they came to their answer.

Have fun!

The rear half has an Allard look.
Rebodied Allard?

No Allard connection that I am aware of.

That's what it says on the 'site, but the name is slightly wrong.

Well it is really and the point will be yours but we might as well get it right..
Inaccuracies are often perpetuated on the 'net just because people don't get things quite right.
So it's not Centauri either..
Have another look and it's still locked so no-one's going to nick your point!

There's just one letter wrong in 'Centari' and one letter too many in 'Centauri'...

Ahh ,hint taken ! Centuri ?

Below from wiki , I guess  the car was named after the star & it has both the "a" & "u"  :)

"Alpha Centauri" is the name given to what appears as a single star to the naked eye and the brightest star in the southern constellation of Centaurus"

I believe it was Alpha Centauri.
According to Geoffrey's website, is 'Alpha Centari'...but according to Feeney's family "He built his own sports car, the Alpha Centauri, from the parts of 24 different cars."
I think only an article from a contemporary magazine can shed a light on this.

EDIT: I read now that you got the name from his website...that's confusing!

I'm taking my project to the next step: matching my index of makers, models, sources...etc  with my folders of pictures.
I started from A (from '2CA', actually) nearly 1 year ago and I reached letter 'F'. I have to verify, double check and fix all I collected over the years...
