What is this car and who built it - for 1 point?

As seen elsewhere in AutoPuzzles, the one-armed Mr. Skirrow also constructed midget racers in the UK. Perhaps he adopted the mechanicals to this road-going automobile?

And here is is washing the puzzle car with his one arm!

Apparently this sports car used the same 996cc J.A.P. engine as his midget racers and had a 4-speed motorcycle gearbox which Harry modified to include a reverse gear.
It was Front Wheel Drive, ran on petrol and was capable of cruising at 60 mph!
