For 1 point identify this car, who built it and when?

You know the car.
But according to my info it's a different Jaguar model and slightly different date (which may or may not be more accurate..)

No, I'll give you the point as information on this car is so sparse.
I had it as a MkVII but I have no proof that that's what it is, so it could equally be an XK140!
Perhaps some Jaguar expert can add more information?

The bonnet and the grille don't look XK140, Mk V or 3.4 litre (better known as a Mk 1) which are the other candidates so I would think it must be Mk VII based - remember that the Mk VII was also a 3.4 litre car.

Amazingly this popped up in the background to the 1957 film "Schön ist die Welt" which somebody has just added to IMCDB (and of course nobody knew what it was  ;) )
