What is this car, who built it and when?  For 1 point..

Google Image Search continues to raise its ugly head on AutoPuzzles.
For the sake of our newer members who may not be aware of past discussions on it, Google Image Search as a means of solving puzzles is banned on this website.

AutoPuzzles is primarily a game of automotive knowledge, not of who can copy and paste the quickest.

We ask all members to remember and respect this, and retain the right to ask puzzle-solvers how they came to their answer.

Have fun!

'58 Lancia Flaminia by Vignale ?

Yes, that's the car, although I believe it was first shown in 1959.
You did well to find that - it's an almost unknown car.

Here's the story that captioned the photo:

QUOTE
It was an one-off convertible designed by Michelotti and exhibited at the Turin Motor Show in 1959, but the Lancia management preferred the Touring version. The
car recalls the lines of 3500 Maserati convertible Vignale, a design by Michelotti too.
This car was found abandoned on a state road near Lodi (MI) in 1976. It was in very poor condition with no roof, no windows, no seats, no bumpers, no license plates and documents. A young fan tried to retrieve it, but without success. All steel parts were hopelessly eroded and those in aluminum, hood, doors and trunk oxidized. Were recovered few pieces of the engine and sold later. The engine was a 2500cc with 2 carburettors double body Solex. The car was probably the color burgundy. So it was scrapped. Probably now it would be possible to recover it, but those times was impossible.
The person who found car, collector and enthusiast Lancia Zagato, actually, is sorry still 34 years away
