What's this car, what was it based on and when was it built - for 1 point?:

Lucky stroke! Charles Henry Harris' "Mah Special," a trials car built from scratch in 1950. Ford Sidevalve, Austin 7 bits, and a surprisingly pretty cut-and-shut body.

The family is searching for the car or information on its whereabouts. Hope it's out there somewhere, and didn't go to the breakers.

Just to complete the puzzle and gain your point can you tell me exactly what "Mah" stands for?

Is it, "Mud and Hills?"

Not the answer I was looking for though..

Well according to the blurb the car was an "M&H Special".  Simple as that. M And H.
I don't know if that was an off-the-shelf special or if it was something they put together 100% themselves though.
It wasn't part of the puzzle so you get your point anyway!
