Apologies for the poor image on this one.
What was this car based on, what engine did it use and when was it built?
One point for the correct answer.

woodinsight

Maybe an Expert knows?

Allard?
Not Allard - think more of a mainstream make.
Clue - the base car is British but the engine is not.....

Healy chassis?
Not Healey - more mass production than that

mekubb

More mass production ?  Does the make still exists ?

The marque is no longer around but it is still owned by one of the major manufacturers and there has been talk recently of a revival.....

Sounds like Triumph...

Is the puzzle car based on a Triumph 1800/2000 Roadster?

woodinsight

Not MG or Rover based but Wendax is correct in that the chassis and front suspension are from a Triumph 2000.
I'll lock it for Wendax until his next reply only to guess the engine and the year it was built.
Then it's open to all again.

A shot in the dark: it is from 1953 and has a Jaguar engine

You're just one year out with the date.
Not a Jaguar engine though......
Open to all again.

1952 and Ford engine?
1952 is correct and the engine is American but not a Ford.
Locked for you for another guess on the engine make.
