What was this car based on, what engine did it use and when was it built?

The marque is no longer around but it is still owned by one of the major manufacturers and there has been talk recently of a revival.....

Is the puzzle car based on a Triumph 1800/2000 Roadster?

Not MG or Rover based but Wendax is correct in that the chassis and front suspension are from a Triumph 2000.
I'll lock it for Wendax until his next reply only to guess the engine and the year it was built.
Then it's open to all again.

1952 is correct and the engine is American but not a Ford.
