Well, it's obvious what this is - but for the point I need to know what it was commonly known as and who built it.

It's known as the double ended mini cooper, but that's all I know.

Or the Twini.  That looks like John Cooper of the Cooper racing car company which built it as a stunt for BMC.  He was very seriously injured when one of the gearboxes stuck in two gears at once (complicated gear linkage failed) and the car somersaulted down the Kingston bypass

It was known as the "Mini Double" at the time (the Twini was a different car).
I need to know who built it though for the point.....

I read in an old Dutch magazine the names Frank Lesson en Neville Holmes.

Frank Lesson was a garagist and Neville Holmes was a coachbuilder. They lived in Collingham in Nottinghamshire.

Is my source right?

Almost!
Frank's surname is not quite right but the rest is correct..... :)
It should be Frank -esso- where the two dashes represent the wrong letters.
LOCKED for you to try to come up with the correct answer.

I need glasses... It must be Frank Jessop.

I think that is the correct answer.
