Obviously based on an AEC fire engine chassis/body (Merryweather?)

Not an AEC but it was previously a fire engine.
What is required for the point, apart from the identification of the chassis make, is what was it being used as in the photo and which company owned it then?

I think this is Norm Bolitho's race car transporter, "Dennis the Menace", built on a 1971 Dennis fire engine chassis. The unit is purpose-built to take the team's classic Volvo 142 or vintage Chrysler competition vehicles to motorsport events across Australia. I looked up Nigel Webb's transporter for his D Jaguar, and either there are two nearly identical vehicles (doubtful), or they are one and the same. Don't really know what to think on this one, but the reality is, it's one (or two?) VERY neat transporter(s)!!!

The Bolitho and Hawthawn transporters look the same to me.  The Hawthawn picture with Jaguar insignia, was taken in 2008, so maybe Bolitho bought later.

Thanks for the replies guys.....
I'm in a slight quandary here as the information I have doesn't have the actual owner of the Dennis.
I believe however that it belonged to Nigel Webb and I also remember reading somewhere about an identical Dennis being sold in Melbourne in the early 2000s. Presumably this is the Norm Bolitho transporter.
I'm also quite sure that the Dennis fire tender was not a one-off.

Below is the unaltered photo.
What I need is proof of it's identification as the Nigel Webb transporter before I award the point.

I found an image of Nigel Webb's D-type Jaguar in front of the transporter at Cowdray Park in 2008.  Is that proof?  (Image includes text saying it belongs to Nigel Webb).  I found a picture of the Dennis at Goodwood, but it doesn't mention the owner.

Google for "nigel_webb_d_type", you will find the image.

For the benefit of the rest of the readers, here's Bolitho's "Dennis the Menace" in his racing team's livery. Again, I would be willing to wager that it's the same vehicle but I can't attest to who had it first, Norm or Nigel.

Yes, thanks for that fyreline - that proves it and the point is awarded to shamrock as the first to come up with the correct answer.
