Looking at those door hinges, I suspect the body was built by Joe Bloggs, jobbing blacksmith   ;)

Is it an Alvis?

Not an Alvis, lesser known.
The coachbuilder is a bit obscure....but is not quite a jobbing builder!

Well, Montagu (or Michael Sedgwick if you prefer) suggests Jensen but that's hardly lesser known. It looks to me like a simplified version of the Byfleet d.h.c. that Bob suggested, which was why I suggested Airflow as they made that one.

I don't know if it helps but this coachbuilder was London-based and this Invicta was exported to South Africa upon completion.

Well, as one who has one, I'd say it is crude enough in some aspects to be by Corsica, so I'll try that.

Not by Corsica.
The coachbuilder also bodied a Mk VI Bentley although I haven't seen a photo of that.
The firm were labeled 'mysterious' in one publication!

Aha - that's a new one for me!

Yes but I believe it is Robert Kent Coachbuilders of London. A typo in your source and mine?
Whatever the point is yours.....
....and if someone can confirm the name of the coachbuilder that would be much appreciated.
