It's a Volkswagen 700. The base was a VW Beetle 1200.
Wendler did the bodywork but the plans were made by Porsche.
The project started in 1956 and ended at 1958.

Does anyone have ever seen it with wheels? I only know it in this unfinished state.

The Wendler book only shows a similar three quarter edge front view.

Add some more Gaussian blur to the rear wheel layer and move it slightly more inside the wheel house... ;)
