Mercedes-Benz 540 K 'Spezial' 'A' Convertible by Mercedes-Benz coachworks in Sindelfingen, in 1936. for a French customer. He liked Mercedes, but thought their cars to conspicious in crisis struck France. Another one, with the normal Mercedes front was made for H.H. Raja of Tagore.

A point goes to BentleyBob for the correct answer.

Did you know the car, or find it through research?

Seen it often, last at the auction. So I knew where to look in my files for the details. Thanks for the point.
