For a full point, what is this based on, and who built it?

Renault 20 ambulance by René Baboulin, of Vizille.
Baboulin started as one of the numerous french buggy producer of the 70's. Then later, he started to make ambulance based on french big saloons.

He made special versions on Citroën CX, BX, XM, Xantia (with their hydraulic suspensions, big Citroën were by far the best-selling ambulances in France. So comfy you'd almost like your journey at the back of it !), Peugeot 505 and 405.
He tried to import some Subarus, but it was impossible in the 80's in France, as japanese cars sales could not exceed 3% of our total market.

This R20 must be a GTD or a Turbo D. As far as I know, this version is a really rare sight.

Well done cmetisse, I thought you might know this one (and sorry Delorean, just too slow.  I was at Reims as well; it was a good event).

I already knew of Baboulin's buggies, modified Peugeot 404s, Subarus and Citroen ambulance conversions, but this R20 (GTD) was a new one on me.  Good use of J9 tail lights as well!
