For one point, provide the make, model, and engine type of this shiny car.

Not even close D-Type.

No BMW, no Bristol, no Eigenbau

This is the Magnolia Special, built specifically to run on compressed natural gas.The car uses an engine based on Jaguar's 4.2-liter inline-six.

And the point goes to Joao.  I was actually looking for "Bienville Studios", but Nesbitt will do.

And more images.  I was going to use the rear-view image, until I found the naked one.

You need to amend the title to include the solution, otherwise it may not come up in future searches and get re-posted..

Arghhhh!  I should have caught this earlier!  I met J.T. Nesbitt very breifly when he ran the "Stinkin Linkin" on the salt flats in 2007.

A search for the name of that car and Bienville will get you to the story of building a race car (that they drove to the salt flats from New Orleans) out of a "Katrina victim" that allegedly smelled "worse than a sack of dead rats."  The video of the story is kinda interesting, but it paints a much sadder story than reality.
