Found a connection between #14 - Galtier-Renault constructed by Jean Galtier and #18 - Dolo constructed by Ets. Brun, Dolo, Galtier et Cie.
Very good! That was one of the tougher ones.

I think there's another half-solved one.

#27, the Foremost Ivan the Terra Bus, which could pair with #12, a Seat Panda Terra.

Yes, this pair (#16 - #28) locked for you to find out which coachbuilder built #16.

#16 appears to be a Military or Police minibus.
I found the photo of a vehicle with a similar front on AP's Italian Coachbuilders feature (see below).
I'm guessing the coachbuilder may be Savio?

Yes, #16 is a Fiat 1100 I Camionetta by Savio, mainly built for Italian police and carabinieri.

Just one more try before I stop (otherwise you may be tempted to limit the number of guesses per day!)

#8 - Henschel Steam Truck c.1934 paired with #11 - Renault 4CV (with steam-power?)

Thanks for reminding me of the threatened limit. But I'm rather glad this puzzle picked up speed finally.

#8 is a Henschel steam truck. That's a start, but I doubt that this is sufficient to find the connection.

No steam engine in #11.

That really was a "tongue in cheek" guess!
I can't imagine a steam-powered 4CV selling ice-cream!   :bag:

It is early morning so I do all kind of crazy stuff. I just googled Renault 4CV Ortiz just for fun and look what popped up!

So No7 and No11 are a pair:
No7 is an ice cream tricycle with a Zündapp engine, made by Juery and used by the Ortiz family in France

No30: Pic from the 1969 Woodstock festival. Is this the basis for connection?

Yes, our member GV CREATIONS has created a nice site about that car. So, another pair is found.

Sorry, those people didn't get excited at Woodstock, but at a festival of similar spirit.

It seems as if the picture 30 really was taken at Woodstock, sorry for the confusion. I took it from an article about another festival. I've replaced it now by a photo hopefully taken at the event in question.

Could this be at Glastonbury?

I'm not sure if I've completely worked this one through, but I think there's a connection between #9, The VW Golf "Fire and Ice" special edition, and #21, Roger Moore in "For Your Eyes Only", the link being Alpine ski racer, film maker and fashion designer Willy Bogner Jr.

The VW special edition was supposed to have been inspired by Willy Bogner's film "Fire, Ice & Dynamite" (1990), and coincided with his 1990 sportswear collection, also called "Fire + Ice". I'm not sure if he had any involvement in designing the interior of the car - the sources I have been looking at are not clear on that point.

Earlier, for the Bond film "For Your Eyes Only", Willy Bogner had directed and filmed the ski scenes at Cortina, and in picture #21 Roger Moore is dressed in Bogner skiwear.

Not the Isle of Wight festival, not even in Britain.

Sorry to ask, Wendax, but are you sure about the replacement picture #30? While looking around for photos of pop festivals, I've found it was used by Newsweek magazine on the cover of a 1994 issue, looking back to Woodstock after 25 years. It could be a mistake, of course, but working back from that, it also appears on some other sites as being from Woodstock, the photo credited to Jim Marshall.

It's all a bit confusing, and it's getting late here, so I'll have to leave things for tonight, and come back tomorrow.
