I don't know the year, but its the FMR Super Tiger/TG

About 1959 I would guess.

I only know that, because my dad specialises in the old Messerschmitts, and I cam across this picture once!

There is another picture of it on the net with less of a body, showing the tubular construction.

I have it as a 1960 FMR.  The name I am looking contains "Tiger", but isn't "Super Tiger".  What is "TG"?

Do you think they drilled enough holes in the suspension arms?

Hehe I know what it is... I'll say in a few hours, leave the others a chance!

TG means Tiger. The Messerschmitt TG500 (4 wheeler beast) was originally called Tiger. However, they had some problems with the Sunbeam Tiger, so had to change there name. Thats why its called the TG500! There is an original TG500 with "tiger" script in Japan, my dad restored it a while back!

They sure did drill enough holes in the suspension!

Its the FMR Tiger Jet, 1960. I guess it was built in Regewnsburg, like the other Messerschmitts.

The first picture seems to be sort of a prototype stage, with a few differences, suspension not drilled, messerschmitt steering bar, and a couple more!

1960 FMR Tiger Jet.

After I posted it, I figured someone would recognize the three-diamond FMR insignia on the tail.  But that is obscure enough, maybe only a micro-car expert would notice.

The Sunbeam Tiger wasn't in existence back then. It was the truck builder Krupp that owned the name rights for Tiger in Germany and forced FMR to change the name as well as their logo which originally consisted of three rings surrounding the letters F, M and R.

My bad! I knew they changed from the original RSM eagle badge, because of Mercedes, to ringed FMR, then to diamond FMR!

I guess this is mainly a hillclimb/track day car rather than one made for any particular Formula....but if I was tech inspector, I sure wouldn't pass those hyper-drilled suspension arms.  They have "Hospital" written all over 'em.

According to Kron's Messerschmitt book it was built by Fritz Fend for a manufacturer from Munich. It had a DKW engine.

All Messerschmitts are great... My favorite is probably the TG500 prototype (attached). My dad is lucky to have an original TG500 which he's currently restoring.

Another I love is the more obscure K-106! Shame there arent many pictures of it, I would love to scratchbuild a model of it! Does anyone here have any pictures that don;t seem to be on the net?

Here is a better version of what was poted, and somewhere I have a copy of original blueprints of 1 side, see if I can dig em out.
