According to Schrader/Linz it´s a 23/70 Dixi with a body by Karosserie Schebera/Berlin.

When I´m home again I may take a scan, if you want. It´s exactly the same photo.

My own source is a bit confusing. It reports a 23/70 as well, so, I contacted Wendax to confirm, but he said it can't be! A 23/70 PS engine would be much too big for a Dixi.
However I have Buhne built the body for this car.

Schebera belonged to the Schapiro conglomerate, just as Dixi did. So it might well be a Schebera body, as they mainly bodied cars from Schapiro's brands: Benz, Protos, Dixi and Cyklon. But Buhne also is a good guess.

About the 23/70 PS designation: Halwart Schrader made a very explicit listing of the Dixi models, covering 36 pages in his "BMW Automobile" book from 1978. A 23/70 PS isn't mentioned there, neither in Werner Oswald's "Deutsche Autos 1920-1945". If you compare the size of other German cars of that age having engines with 23 Steuer-PS (The first Maybach had 22 Steuer-PS), I consider the chassis of the puzzle car too small. And it clearly resembles the Dixi 6/24 PS.

You´re right. I´ve had a look into the 1978 Schrader book, too and there´s never been such a big engine like a 24/70 PS in the whole 1920´s.

But as I´ve said before, I´m quite sure the bodywork is from Schebera. They´ve built at least 3 different taxi types on Dixi chassis which look like the puzzle pic, too.

The more I study the coachwork, the more I believe it's by Schebera.

Another Dixi 6/24 PS Coupe de Ville. The photo was taken in August 1925 in Hamburg. It is insofar interesting as you can see in the background that the demolition of Hamburg's ancient city quarter had begun in order to build the Kontorhaus district, nowadays UNESCO World Heritage site.
