It's a BMW and there might be a Michelotti connection, but I'm not aware of it and my source doesn't mention the designer of this particular model.

I need the designation and what it was inofficially called.

Allemano

Michelotti was BMW design consultant back then, but wasn't directly involved in this project.

Limo

It looks like a Michelotti design; a prototype for the BMW 1500?

It will be solved within 5 minutes I guess.

No

Carnut

It looks rather more like the smaller BMW 700 to me, with those front indicators, the side rubbing strip and those bumpers, although it has a grille which is perhaps a dummy.

Anything to do with the 700?

Yes! Now put all bits together and you should find the solution...

I think this should be the first (dark) Hofmeister prototype, intended to be a 1000ccm engined car.
It shared the 700´s roof pavillion and had this clear horizontal grille.

The second (white) 1300ccm Hofmeister car had the well known "Hofmeister-Knick", the typical C-pillar shaped like most of the following BMW´s. The second prototype had the two elements of the 507 grille.

Is this another of the prototypes for the BMW 1000, similar to your one last year by Wolfgang Denzel?

EDIT:
Whilst I was typing this grobmotorix actually modified his post rather than posting a new one, so your answer refers to the question he asked before, not what it says now...

grobmotorix

Yes, it should be the first 1000ccm Hofmneister prototype as I´ve written before. I´ve found two more photos of it in an 1987 prototype magazine.

No. It's already told here what it was supposed to be. What I need is the name of this particular car and its quite plausible »moniker«.

It's not easy to follow you Monsieur! ;)

Now we're getting somewhere. It's indeed one of the first Hofmeister cars above the BMW 700 series, but wasn't a 1500, yet, so, what was it called?

grobmotorix

In my source it has no name. It is only called a 1000ccm prototype, done by Hofmeister and here´s the photo:

Wendax

Schrader has it as a 1300 cc prototype from 1959/60, based on a BMW 700, still mentioning no name

Allemano

I took my pic from a book. It's captioned » BMW _ _ _ /_ _ _ _    "_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _" (year) «

The car you've posted seems to be the one with the 507 nose.

I do not have it from the Schrader book and have it few years later*.
Maybe I stumbled (again) on a rotten source..? We shall see!

*maybe that's already a hint to a incorrect info.

grobmotorix

O.K., It seems to be the Richter-Brohm 1600 prototype with the GP-HT 32 licence plate.

I´ll show the second Hofmeister-prototype in some minutes.

Here´s the second Hofmeister car, just to show it:
