Hi guys
RE Triumph Quadraflight
I bought the car from Mr Frey Snr from a place he owned in England around 1985, it was unwanted and the red paint was covered in green alge fron being under trees. i restored the car and ran it for many years as my everyday car!, it was indeed based on triumph 2000 mechanics with a tubular spaceframe bonded into a fibreglass body moulding, during the time I had the car it was upgraded with 2.5pi mechanicals and converted to Right hand drive. I had to sell the car when the family out grew the 2+2 arrangement. i have seen it since on the roads around Surrey/Hampshire around 1990 however I have now moved and have no further knowledge. As a prototype it was a beautiful car similar to a lamborginis espada. Its shortfalls were water ingress into the un protected space frame with resultant corrosion problems, osmosis type blistering under the gel coat and a weak detail at the diff mounting which caused the occasional embarassing moment. I would be interested if the car still exists.
