Fiat 500 Giardiniera by Moretti 1960 anterior engine boxer
I'm puzzled - What exactly is this?

I think it translates as "Fiat 500 estate car (is that what 'giardiniera' means in this context?) by Moretti 1960 with front-mounted (is that what 'anterior' means?) flat configuration horizontally opposed engine (isn't that what a 'boxer' engine is?)."

In 1959-60 the Fiat 500 was rear-engined and had a twin cylinder in-line engine.

So how can this be described as a Fiat 500?

Strange car indeed. But all the info provided by jrpola are correct.
Moretti exploited the Fiat 500 chassis (the Fiat standard Giardiniera still had to come) to build its own estate version. To have more room for the luggage, they moved the original engine in the front, turning it by 180 degrees. As a prototype (this one in the picture) they also made one fitted by a 500 cc boxer engine of their own design.
I agree with SACO that the year is 1959, however; Turin Motor Show, to be precise.

This car was actually designated "Promiscua" by Moretti.
The normal English description would be 'front-engined' rather than 'anterior'!

Not only front engined, but also front wheel drive, in this case.
