Klodwig's BMW-Heck was 328 powered and this appears to be a BMW motorcycle engine.
BMW powered Scampolo?

Polensky Monopoletta, built in 1950 by Helmut Polensky who is at the wheel, BMW 500 cc engine.
It is pictured at the Schauinsland race 1950.

BTW, four of them were built, the first in 1949, the last in 1950. The last one can be seen in the Prototyp Museum Hamburg:

The caption reads that it is a two-litre chassis, so it must be the Monopol (

), not the Monopoletta.
