It certainly looks like a roadster conversion of a 1957 Hino Diesel 4 CV, the successor of the licence-built Renault 4 CV.

Apparentlly it's called a Kyoshin.
The title should be amended to include that to avoid reposts!

I don't think so. I understood the source in a way that the Kyoshin is the Hino 4 CV-based Corvette lookalike we had before: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=12824.0

Yes, actually you're right; ignore what I wrote earlier!
It's more common that the captions are under the photo but in this case they are above it.
