What's the name of this car? Who built it and when?

This is an off-the-wall guess.  A Simca 8 convertible used by (and presumably built by) Kleber-Colobes to transport journalists along the route of the Tour de France in 1952.

Yes for the journalists along the route of the Tour de France but not with a Simca 8 !

I have not the exact answer but I think that it is a Renault Fregate au Tour de France 1955 !
I don't think that it is Chapron !

Then the only other coachbuilder I know of at the moment would be Figoni & Falaschi.

One of these cars apparently still exists. The belt line strongly resembles the VW Karmann Ghia which was designed at the same time.

I still have my doubts whether the puzzle car really is a Ghia bodied one. The rear fender line is not like those of the Fregate Ghia Cabriolets I have seen pictures of. It resembles rather the fender line of the Chapron or Letourneur et Marchand cabriolets, but it is different to those in the way the A-post meets the body (Chapron) or the upper door line (Letourneur et Marchand). Further on, all Ghia Fregates I know have a sloping upper door line the puzzle car has not. So far I haven't found a picture of a Fregate Cabriolet which fits with the puzzle car.

I have also doubts about puzzle car : rear light come from Peugeot 203 ,and the only Fregate Abarth is the coupé Boano Autobleu ! ::)

The fender shape, door handles, rocker trim and and wheels resemble this Simca 8 Sport Figoni et Falaschi cabriolet from 1952

Even the rear lights and the number plate illumniation would be correct. Further on, an Abarth badge would make more sense on a Fiat-based Simca than on a Renault. The attached picture shows an Simca 9 Sport Figoni et Falaschi:

Whilst we are on this subject, does anyone know what this is? I'm pretty sure it's Fregate based but beyond that....
