Interesting question. This builder / driver did compete at Pikes Peak during his life, but it wasn't in this car.

In 1928, Bill Milliken installed an Indian Scout motorcycle engine into a propeller-driven three wheeler. The next project was this four wheel cyclecar that featured a countershaft in the drivetrain and a homemade wood and leather clutch.
