It looks vaguely English and I think, judging by what looks like a 'new' Beetle windscreen, it's probably Golf-related has a rear-mounted VW Golf engine, maybe a VR5?

It is obviously mid-engined.

Did the engine originate in that position or it is a FWD rig transposed to the back of a car...
