Technically a Ferrari 308GT4 Rainbow, as it was based on the Bertone-designed V8 Dino 308GT4 1974.

Its claim to fame was of course its targa roof, which was actually on rails and slid down into the space behind the rear seats, a feature which seemed to take decades to reach actual production in a car you could buy...

Ferrari Rainbow was introduced at the Turin Auto Show in 1976 and was in the Burt Reynolds / Hal Needham 'Cannonball' movie in 1981

In 1979/80, it was trucked to various Fiat outlets in the US, as parked as a promotional device / attention-getter. I guess one was to suppose this car and the X1/9 were virtually the same.

I remember giving the car the once-over at a long-gone Fiat dealership on Plymouth Road in Livonia, MI, on my way home from work one night. The dealer suggested it might be for sale, for 'the right offer'. No test drives were on offer.  :(

Now there was a missed opportunity Otto..
Of course, in those days Ferrari prices were not stratospheric; they were just old cars with big engines that were expensive to maintain, with values that fell like a lump of lead in a pond and absolutely no-one wanted the one-offs that were usually broken up..

Here are a couple more pictures, one showing the car's correct full name on its rump and the other a Bertone press picture showing off the fancy roof I mentioned earlier:
