Unfortunately Opel has had too many financial problems during the last decade.
Otherwise the Opel Museum in Rüsselsheim would be reality today and they would have tried to built a replica car of the Regent, I´m sure.
Manufacturers like Audi, BMW and Mercedes have revived some of their legendary and lost cars to let them roll again at classic car events and show them at their museums.
We all can be lucky if Opel survives the next decade...

It's a pity that no example of the Regent exists...if the story is true. And it's also a pity to hear that Opel might not last much longer. But then being associated with GM can be hazardous to corporate health: Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saturn...
Glad ya like the avatar, etc. It's basically what happened. I've been working at getting the damage from the flailing driveshaft repaired and doing a bunch of other stuff before it's time to race again in September. There's a lotta work to be done. I need to update my website to indicate the current state of things...maybe by the end of the weekend.
