Started seeing several types of South African vehicles in Iraq by the end of 2005. They were exceptional at moving through high grass.
I believe this one is a Springbuck IV 4x4 armoured Personnel Carrier.

No, it is almost three decades older than 2005.

Yes!

LOCKED for you!

Mamba is the model name. Do you know the company that has built it?

The Mamba was developed by Land Systems OMC, a subsidiary of BAE Systems Land Systems South Africa. It utilizes a Unimog truck chassis. It is powered by a 352N Mercedes Benz 6-cylinder diesel engine.

According to my source it is the "Mechem Mamba Mk.I", built on an Unimog chassis.
OMC built the Mk.II

But I think it is enough for a point in any case.
