Reminds me of the Fiat 127 by Majorette, or something similar by Matchbox. Cool.

Not the one I was thinking of :). But you are right in that sense. It was a lovely thing they used to do. Why is there n osuch fun in modern diecast?

The front end recalls the Ghia style....but the side lines not so much.

I've finally found it! It's a Simca 8 Cabriolet designed by L.L. Lepoix in 1948. It was built by Spohn in Ravensburg with help from Lepoix' friend Franz Joseph Villing.
