The Enfield electric car fleet produced useful information on the operation of cars and led to the idea of a small battery van, which might be used by meter readers and the like in the Electricity industry.
This vehicle is a conversion of an Enfield car to a van which was carried out in November 1981. It was registered LYF 162X and given Eastern Electricity fleet number 8670.
Placed on long term loan at Ipswich Transport Museum by Eastern Electricity in 1992.
