No, sorry, not a Durkopp. This puzzle is actually quite easy, most people would have seen one on a calendar, or in a car book at some stage.

Looks like a FIAT of about 1906 or '07. Possibly 18-24 h.p.
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

That's not the make I have listed, but it is listed as an 18-24hp.

I've got it as a German made Mercedes from 1903, so close enough.

I'll have to do a bit more research on this car, as I can't find a reference to a 18-24hp Mercedes, in which case, it maybe a Fiat. I'll look into it over the next couple of days.

I've found a Mercedes that, to me, seems like the same model. Except I'm still not sure what model it is.

I'll give a point each to RtR and Allan L.

The original photo is out of the book "Three Men in a Motor Car" which details a trip taken from Paris to Algeria, to Tunisia, over to Sicilily, through Italy and then back to Paris. It's refered to as a Mercedes throughout the book, and it states that the car is an 18-24hp, even though I can't find a reference to an 18-24hp Mercedes in 1903.

I don't think I've earned a point!
There was a Mercedes 18/22 in 1903 - one appeared in Veteran Car Club events 10+ years ago driven by Dr Martin Luther (!) but I can't find its picture.

The Mercedes Simplex 18/22 PS was built from 1902 to 1905 and had a 4080 cc four-cylinder engine. The pictures of it I have in my books look similar to the puzzle pic. Perhaps the 18/24 hp designation originates from a different way of measuring the engine power in the UK.

Ok, I'll take it off. I thought the model designation you gave deserved some credit.

That would make sense. I'll cross check my puzzles in future before I post them.
