An E-type with a different rear quarter window (and much prettier if you ask me).
But I'm no Jaguar specialist and I have to find why.

I'm sure I recall a coachbuilder's version at a motor show but can't remember who or where.
Where is Duncan when you need him? ???

I don't know about Abbey, or it that's her on the hood ........err, bonnet. I know she didn't pen or build this car, however.

Isn't this the E Type that was restyled by Raymond Loewy?  I think the major differences between it and a standard E Type were a larger grille and four headlights.

Good eye, jimjarron - that's exactly what it is! While the greenhouse may have benefited from his rework, the front clip looked more appropriate to a Jensen or a Bristol, in my opinion.

Good grief. I went to that page, saw the picture, and didn't think the rear side window looked enough like it to be the Loewy car. But I was wrong...

A few more from me -
Identify the make (easy), model (in detail), year and who was responsible for the coachwork modifications.

I realise that - it's already been pointed out to me.
However I'm asking for the coachbuilder who carried out the work, not the designer this time.

Pichon-Parat was what I was looking for, well done.
It hadn't been mentioned when the car was posted before.

More pics of this odd duck cat.

I have to agree with Ray's comment, above. The back half of his car (save the flipper cap) turned out nicely.

It was for sale in 1970 - look at that price!
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia
