My memory is now restored!  This car is the Dominator TS400 - not Eliminator- designed by Paul Leggott.  The Dominator stared in Kit Car Crisis, a UK TV show that followed the build of the first (and last) customer car, which was intended to go racing. It all went quiet until the chassis broke on a rolling road, and the Dominator was never head of again!
