I've searched a bit and I guess you're talking about a different car..

I could have sworn I had this one saved as a Pinto prototype (with a rear engine), but cannot find proof.

I'll guess Car #5, Ford Pinto mock-up, and Place I might be Pinto, Madrid, Spain.

If not, please unlock

D'oh - I thought Phoenix was eliminated.

I'll keep looking, but don't wish to preclude Wendax and others, who have invested so much time in solving these, from taking the point.

OK - L is Phoenix-See in Dortmund; #5 is the Ford Phoenix, a rear-engine prototype that hinted at the look of the future Pinto

#12 I have a different company name and a slightly different spelling of the designation.
So this a "XXXXX Royal" from Germany. Is it from a known kitcar brand?

I get a uncertain feeling about that. Internet provides nought except of the company's name. No pictures, no info – nothing. :(

Don't bother about it — esp. for Wendax it was another sale! ;D

The last pair must be #2 and #E. #E is Tel Aviv-Jaffa. Is #2 some kind of Jaffa Special?

Yes, which one? Locked for you to finish this – apparently again – much too easy group puzzle!

You may unlock as I didn't find anything so far, and my knowledge and sources about British (I guess) sportscar specials are very limited.
