What is it? (Maybe not quite what it seems.)

Hope this works...

Sorry; attaching pic does not seem to work

Let's help you get past this hurdle, shall we?

What format of pic (jpg, gif, etc) and how are you attempting to attach it?

 :-[ :-[

Karn has offered to post it for me, but maybe I should learn how to.

I had tried something like this: in both the 'attach:' field and in the main body - there is no point in linking to the pic on the original website I found it, is there?

Thanks for being so patient - as I said to Karn, I'm not in here because of my computer prowess...

To attach images, click the "Additional Options..." at the bottom of the box where you post messages.  Then click the browse button and find the file you wish to attach.  The file has to be stored on your computer!   When you have found the file and chosen it it should attach automaticallly when you finish your post.

The {img] function is to host images on other sites.  You can learn all about how to use it and do everything else we just discussed if you click here:

I feel a little better seeing that Karn had the same thing happening...

Let's try again; maybe a different pic first

I like the early adoption of the CHMSL.

Was this maybe more an expert level puzzle? Before we move it over, I'll give another view of the car

It's awfully hard to say what is expert and what is rookie. This one I knew instantly. Others, not only do I have no idea what they are, but even once I've heard the answer I still have no idea what they are. Same goes for some of the expert puzzles.
As for this particular car, I think that it is distinctive enough that it should remain in the rookie section, especially now that you've posted the front views.

As a styling aside, it should be noted that this car was an early pioneer of the 'sponsor' list that is now popular on a lot of modified import cars.  ;)

The six McQuay-Norris Streamliners produced in 1934 were built to be driven by McQuay-Norris engine component sales representatives.

As well as advertising the company, McQuay-Norris used the Streamliners as test-beds for new engine components, and for this purpose the interior was fitted with many dials and instruments to monitor performance and engine condition.

The McQuay-Norris Streamliner's chassis and running gear were based on a Ford V8, and the aerodynamic bodywork was made from steel and aluminium attached to a wooden frame. The curved windows were made from Plexiglas.

Having at last managed to place a pic (I think the problem was that there were spaces in the file name) I now do not know how to change the name of the post to include 'SOLVED' and also how to move it to the solved thread. Will an administrator help, please?
