What was there, behind this white cloud in the lower right corner before I erased it?

Inspired by Wendax great idea in his Invisible puzzle (and having duly asked him if he would agree) I try my hand at an "invisible" of my own.
Find who are these ladies and  you'll have a chance to identify this mystery car.

If you haven't registered yet, you need to do so in order to reply with your answer. You can do so by clicking here.
Also, please be sure to check out our other puzzles, and, please post a puzzle of your own if you'd like - the more, the merrier.

Thanks!

Very well tried, Limo, and intelligent guess. Allan may well have been there, but it's not the DS at Expo 58, which was presented like seen below.

Post-WWII European exhibition?
Yes, that was part of the 1951 Festival of Britain's South Bank site in London. We are looking out of the Dome of Discovery ("Dome of Doom" to us schoolboys!) with Hungerford railway bridge in the middle distance and if we hadn't blinked we would have seen John Cobb's Railton Mobil Special LSR holding car.
Looking into the Dome it looked like this (without the inset Dunlop wheel):

I wasn't sure that that you had effectively been there, Allan, but I knew you had a good chance to solve this one. My picture comes from a book, but I intended to confirm your answer with the one you posted. Well done.

Is one of those blokes in the middle photo just above Conrad Hilton, renowned for ensuring that his hotels, however deficient in all the normal hotel-type things, always had a copious supply of Icéd Water in the bedrooms? One of them ought to be. ;D
