The second 100 will be far slower than the first.  Puzzles are getting harder as the stock of unsolved cars out there steadily reduces.  And I know nothing of European coachbuilders, East European, South American or Far Eastern car makers and US customisers
That was and remains my problem too: I struck (un) lucky enough to make it and look at me now!

After a week with the Experts the Pros can have it (while D-Type is at Goodwood, and before he gets them all . . . )

No. 11 looks like a Mercedes Benz 300 SLR

And No. 1 looks like a 3 litre Bentley.

Tom_I

Chassis 2 has a distinctive suspension set-up - independent front with upper transverse leaf springs, and rigid rear axle on torsion bars with a central A-frame.

I'd guess it's a post-war Frazer Nash, possibly a Le Mans Replica, but I'm not certain.

Is No. 8 An ERA E-Type?

And No. 6, is it a BMW 303?

No. 3, is it an Aston Martin International?

Tom_I

Chassis 12 is obviously a single-seater. It has all-independent suspension by wishbones and longitudinal torsion bars, a Wilson pre-selector gearbox, and an unusual steering box positioned behind the engine. I think that all fits with the MG R-Type of 1935.

No 8 is the E type ERA
No 3 is an Aston Martin International
No 6 is not a BMW 303

Everything you've spotted and listed fits the R-Type as a unique combination, so yes!

Is #6 a Frazer Nash BMW 319?
Quote from: woodinsight on September 18, 2011, 01:11:56 PM
#6 - BMW 315?
The source says it is:
BMW. 1.5 litre 6-cylinder tourer. 1934 'Alpine Trial '
which I think makes it a 315 so I'll say you've got it.
319 was 1911cc, but you can't say that by looking at it!
I think 1934 predates Frazer Nash involvement.
