Just searching for something else, I stumbled across this 'solved' puzzle from March 2007 with what I believe to be a wrong, incomplete answer.

This is not an 'Embasser', but an Embeesee (later changed to MBC) Charger, a VW-based kit car made in High Wycombe, Bucks, England, from 1977 until the early 1980s.  DJ Sportscars took over the production of the Charger in the mid-1980s, before the car was renamed the Saturn by MDB Sportscars in the late 1980s.

I only mention this because I think we'd all agree that it's important that vehicles are correctly indentified in AutoPuzzles as it's become the bible to correctly research rare cars.

Can someone from the Admin team change the solved answer to Embeesee Charger please?  Thanks.

Yes, MDB sold this as the Saratogo (2-seater) as well as the Saturn (2+2), as per the yellow 2+2 Charger in the photograph.

I remeber that the MDB cars were the Saratoga (aka Embeesea Charger I), Saturn (Embeesea Charger II) and the Sapphire (aka Lalande/GP Centron).

Hihihihihi

I'm a newbee on here and run the Charger owners club which caters for the kit cars produced by MBC and Embeesea.  In my youth I worked at laying up the grp on the Charger 1 bodyshells in the High Wycombe, Bucks, UK.  I don't wish to be a smart @ss but you are all wrong in identifying the car pictured, (with the exception to the mention of the Saturn/Saratoga as I haven't researched cars under these two names).  The car pictured is the Embeesea Chapeko which was the predecessor of the MBC Charger 1.  The Chapeko itself owes its roots to the Siva Saluki of which only 3 apparently exist at this time.

Anybody want to correct the solution at the head of this thread?

Hi,
welcome to Autopuzzles!
Thank you for the correction (I always thought it was Chepeko...).
Have you got additional info about these cars? We can put it in a section of this forum dedicated to the "Rare car of the week"...
