Dick Saunders' 1936 Packard boattail, called the Saunders Special.

The body originally from a 1929 Auburn model 8-120, and the engine was a Packard 12 fed by two superchargers. Over time the car continued to be modified, in true hot-rodder fashion.

Sorry about that, Ray. Most of the puzzle cars I know get solved in the Rookie and Expert sections. This was a rare opportunity!  ;D

I often think of our much missed former Editor Ray B, who very sadly died about 5 years ago.
Some of our members might know that he was in fact Thierry "Ted" Benoit, a very well-known figure in France.
If you Google him he has a Wikipedia entry.
