It is.  The car is officially listed as a Kellison Astra J-5.   The website I culled this from called it a 1962 model.  The link is no longer operative, though...it was

I went to xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, and clicked on "Hall Of Fame"...the Kellison is listed there.  There's no thumbnail, but you can click on the car name and get the page I tried to link to above.  Thecar is registered as a 1962 Kellison Astra J-5.  It was lastr licensed for the street in 1966, and had been campaigned around SoCal as The Strip Teaser in the mid'60's.  I can vaguely remember this car from when I was a pre-pubescent teen...which would have been about 1965 or so.  There's a short history on Kellison as a company, too.

The website is pretty cool...lots of rare cars, all from around SoCal, many with racing or custom history...it's also where I found the MI Ford roadster.  It's one any enthusiast should consider bookmarking.

There goes one of my unique sources...

Hello I am new to this forum, and I can ID This (Black) car a little bit more precise ....

as it is simpy mine and stands in my garage  :)

It was titled as an Astra J5 but I am pretty sure it is still a Kellison Body as Astras where black or white "gel-cote" fiberglass

and mine is 100% hand made(laid)
It onece a time was Red (metallic) and now is Black with blue Perl overcote.

It has a the same engine as described in the article and since 2 months is again has a Posi Rear
(I assume it had,  but when I bought is was without but therfore with some theeth left in the rear end ;-)

ia anyone has ANY info or PICS of this one from its time in California I WOULD HIGHLY APPRICIATE THAT !!!!!!!

very kind regards from Austria
Martin
