TEI #017 - Solved. Albany, 1971.

Rather rakish wings/fenders on this "gentleman's speedy roadster".

For a point, can you identify the make and approximate year?

It does look a bit like a Buick, but it isn't one. The year is wrong too.

Am I overlooking the obvious? Is it a Ford Model T, around 1915?

How about a Moon, Model 30, approximately 1912?

That's exactly what it is! Well done. I think it's the gear lever which looks incongruous, and gives it away.

These cars were made by the Albany Motor Carriage Company in Christchurch, Dorset from 1971 until 1997. They were not intended as replicas of any particular model, but this does look like a Buick Model 10 from this angle. It's an early example, based on Morris Minor running gear. Later ones used Triumph mechanicals. I don't know how many were made altogether, but 110 were produced in the first six years. From 1992 they were made for export only.

There ought to be quite a few lurking around out there, but I've never seen one.
