Yes, a great picture which gives a great sense of speed!

No Frenchness involved, though.

I don't know its name. I just know this is from Great Britain, it's driven by a propeller and was made by the granddad of a guy named Daniel Robins.

I had it listed as a "Yeovil Propeller Car" from 1955, but as I know that it was built in Yeovil, England, it is probably not an official name. So in an act of overwhelming goodness, I give you two points for giving me two nice pictures that I hadn't seen before :)

Edit: I see now that you're actually catching me in the points department, so I am seriously considering withdrawing one of those points again ;D

Thought I'd give you the original picture, with the propeller visible this time:

Appreciated, @re.
Don't worry about the points. As soon as the 3 up puzzle will be over, you'll get a #30 point advance again.

It has something written on the front, but I can't read it. Guess it could be the name.

Do i get any points for this being my Grandads car!
He named it 'Hurricane'. thats what you can see written on the left wing.
Theres some more pics on my website:  www.daniel-robins.co.uk
The propellor was powered by the worlds first Ford V4 engine, he actually cut a V8 in half then engineered parts to make it all work, very clever chap!!

cheers, Daniel

Hello Robins,

it is always great to get any additional information about projects like that.

It would be perfect if you might be able to tell us some more facts.

Here's my picture before I modified it.
I did actually look at that Yeovil Propellor Car before I posted this (without reading the whole thread) and decided it was a different car...!

I´ve found another photo. The propellor could be used as an airbrake in reverse...
