« on: December 18, 2011, 02:44:05 PM »
A little sports car....
What was it called/who built it, what was it based on and the year it was built for a point.

It's a Morris Special built by Howard Freshwater in 1950, built on a 1934 Morris Minor chassis and originally utilising that car's sidevalve engine and running gear, but at some point this was replaced with a Ford Eight engine and gearbox. The car was fully restored in the 1990s and presumably still exists

Yes, that's it.
I thought it would be difficult to solve but barrett clearly knows many of these 1950s obscurities.....

I have no idea who built this, just what the basis is so that will be enough to earn 1 point:

Google Search by Image continues to raise its ugly head on AutoPuzzles.
For the sake of our newer members who may not be aware of past discussions on it, Google Search by Image as a means of solving puzzles is banned on this website.

AutoPuzzles is primarily a game of automotive knowledge, not of who can copy and paste the quickest.

We ask all members to remember and respect this, and retain the right to ask puzzle-solvers how they came to their answer.

Have fun!

Trials special?

I can't say exactly what it is/was used for, but it doesn't look like a Trials car to me; more a road car.

No, it's not a Jowett at all.
