I think this is the Renault Rafale, a design proposal by Marcel Riffard based on a Renault Vivastella. From around 1934 or 1935 I think? Marcel Riffard was a aeroplane designer for Caudron, a French aircraft company (later bought by Renault) in the thirties. This was his attempt to design a car ...

I've only seen a model of this car. Did it ever get build?

The picture does look like a real automobile to me, not just like a scale model.

Yes, it does; I've never seen this picture before, but I've recognised the sloping back from somewhere. I have 2 pictures of it in my collection, but these are pictures of a scalemodel ...

Wonder if it would still exist today (if it was build in the first place offcourse ..)?
