It is the us-american Guanci SJJ-1, introduced in 1978 with a tranverse mounted V8. The version on the picture is a late redesigned model, there was still a limited production in 1990.

Here is the earlier design of the SJJ-1:

It is the Guanci SJJ1 built by John J. Guanci jr. Guanci Automobiles Inc., Woodstock (Illinois).
Only a few (maybe 2?) where built because of financial troubles. The car was presented in 1979.

Correct and comprehensive answer ! 2 points are yours my friend.

1979 Guanci SJJ1 - Exotic Sports Car.
This is the only SJJ1 production car ever made.
The car only has 3,690 original miles on it.
The car has blue metallic exterior and
Black Recaro cloth racing seats,
a mid engine transverse mounted GM 400 V8,
3 speed automatic(Hydromatic) transmission,
power windows, power brakes, power mirrors,
tilt, CB radio, Cruise Control, power steering,
air conditioning, am/fm/cassette player,
full size matching spare tire,
rally type rims with Goodyear performance radial tires.
This car handles and feels better than a
DeTomatso Pantera or a Ferrari 308.
It sold new in 1979 for $49,500.
It is definitely a museum piece for any car collector.

Apparently 3 cars were built, all with slight differences.
The first had a 5.7 litre GM V8, the second a turbocharged V6 and the third an Aurora V8.
Only 1 car escaped captivity, the 2nd and 3rd cars being retained by John Guanci, who still has them today.
Another contender for the biggest waste title...
