Is it a circa 1917  LaFrance fire engine?

If no one sees any objection, I'm gonna put this one to the black hole, where it belongs more than many.

I always feel bad when I watch the number of PAFW puzzles diminish, but...here it goes.

The History of the Lakewood Fire Department
Company 4's 1966 Mack Model C Pumper
In the latter part of 1930, the present firehouse was built for the company, which held an open house on February 25, 1931.
A new two-stage combination Mack pumping engine was purchased for the company in 1941 at a cost of $6,644.00. This engine was retired in 1966 when the present Mack Model C Diesel, 1,000 gallon per minute pumper was purchased for $38,000.00. (A new Hahn pumper accompanied the 1966 Mack in 1983; both rigs remain in service in 2003).

Well found, Oguerrerob - this puzzle has been around for nearly three years - though I don't know when (or if) Graywolf will be back to answer it.

Unfortunately, there's no way the puzzle picture is a 1966 Mack - that would look like the photo below.

You might want to check back and change your identification, as all the photos on that web page are in the wrong places, and don't match up with their captions!  ;)

What's amazing is that it comes from the same website than this one also by Graywolf: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=5491.msg142362#msg142362 . I had solved it but still hadn't found the site...

Logically it should be a 1915 White, going with the mismatched caption Junior Hose Co. No. 3's 1915 White or the 1916 Mack Model AC Bulldog.
Whatever, the point will go to Oguerrerob who made 99% of the job.

On the original picture you can read "Junior Hose Co. No. 3" on the side of the truck, so it is the 1915 White and not the 1916 Mack.

Allright: if you insist: it's the 1915 White. Here is another, captioned 1916 White Chemical Fire Truck which seems its twin brother.

And of course, here is quite recognizable Mack Bulldog on the Lakewood Fire departement page...

Yes, the puzzle picture is the 1915 White - it's correctly captioned on another page on the site.

The problem with the page we've been looking at is that the first photo, which is supposed to be Lakewood's first Fire Chief, James Westhall, is missing, and all the others are then one place out of sync. If you notionally move all the photos one place down, they then match up with their captions. :)
