Out of the darkness came a microcar.

For one point, please respond and identify this car, its engine and the year it was built.

Hi there,

this car is the Economini, developed by Claudio Roberto Maruggio and first shown at the Salão do Automóvel de 1981. The brand was the same as the car, that is 2,35m lenght and 1,44m wide and have a 175cm³ engine fitted to a four speed manual gearbox (both from the Lambretta), that generated a maximum output of 8,75 cv. In the tests done by the constructor it ran 25 kilometer per liter of petrol, what was good enough for a 375 km range, with a top speed of 70m/h. At the time it was expected to cost half what was paid for a brand new VW Beetle 1600. Three of those cars were built, one yellow and two silver. The yellow one cought fire and was lost, but the other one still exist in their original state.
