I thought those were already called Aston-Martin, build by Bamford & Martin.

Yes.
Bamford & Martin went under in 1925, but the Aston Martin name was used for their products from 1920 (having first been used by Lionel Martin in 1914) so calling the car a "Bamford & Martin" shouldn't be correct.

So, what do you suggest for a correct title?

Not being a specialist, I can't say but Aston Martin 1½ litre Sports might be right.
I have found where you got the photo from and Otto got his answer from and I think there are a number of errors in the caption. The year, as already corrected, is '24 not '34; I don't think it is a long chassis car as the photo below shows what I think their proportions are like (sorry it's a P****e B***h job!) and I think it is referred to as Bamford & Martin as it is an all-Aston Martin site and I would expect them to refer to the cars by the company that made them, Bamford & Martin, Bertelli, David Brown, etc (but they don't)

I have asked a man who knows and he told me that the car is chassis no ‘1934’, but that this car does not have a continuous history and was built up from a few assorted bits in the late 1960s.  ‘1934’ had a side valve engine until 1926, when a twin cam 16 valve unit was fitted. It still has one of those, but whether the same one as that fitted in 1926, we do not know. He agrees that the wheelbase appears to be that of the short chassis, but does not know whether this is as it was in the first place, or whether it has been built up on a shortened long chassis.
Can of worms, I'd say

Oh and he reminded me that not only did Bamford and Martin call the cars "Aston-Martin" but it was spelled with the hyphen in their day.

I'd go so far as to suggest you give the point to Allan, as he's done much more research than did I.

I've given a point to Allan, but won't subtract it from your account. You clearly identified the right car and I had it also saved as Bamford & Martin only.

So kind, but once one's in the company of the real point-scorers it hardly matters!
