Solved: Wendax 264 - Helge Olofsson's home-built car
« on: July 20, 2011, 07:19:50 AM »
It looks as if this small car is becoming part of the furniture.

For one point, please respond and identify this car by telling its builder, its engine and the year it was built

Perhaps a Nilsson?

By the way, I modified my previous post as I didn't think you were on line at the time!

Thank you very much, it has been (and still is) a great pleasure. But I've still got the feeling that there are so much more cars unknown to me than the "few" I recognized.  ;)

One more wild guess from me (I don't speak Swedish and my source doesn't show a photo of this car).
HB Special?

Nice three-wheeler. Probably named after its builders initials. Definitely swedish. Body of thin wood and a  motorcycle two stroke engine, maybe ILO or DKW 125-175 cc. I would guess it was built in 1949.

Educated guesses. I´m dying to know more!!

Welcome to AutoPuzzles, cljo!

I don't know whether this car has a name of its own, I just know the name of the Swedish builder. It has a motorcycle two stroke engine, but it is not an ILO or DKW. It is a slightly larger engine than you guessed, and it's a bit newer.

I can assure you, someone will find out.  ;)

That seems to be a motorcycle engine poking between the seats. Husqvarna?
