Thank you. It is the Tianjin TJ140, built by the Tianjian Truck Repair Shop. First prototype was completed in November, 1969. 40 units were built. It was claimed to be powered by a rotary-engine

The picture shows the workshop today.

Is that rotary as in Wankel or rotary as in aircraft-type engine?

Wow !   :hyper:  I didn't find anything on the Web about it.  Maybe with Chinese caracters ?  But which ones ?

Looking for trucks with rotary engines, I found this :

"An American invention by Adams-Farwell Co (1896), it was first used for buses and trucks in the US (1903), then copied by French engineers for early aircraft engines (1914)."

World's first ?

This truck is the first one to use a Wankel-type rotary rather than the old radial-cylindered rotary.
Try searching for '天津 TJ140'.
